Steps:
On Google docs or any other G Suite software open the file you want to edit.
Hover over the ‘share’ button at the top right of the screen and it will show you how many people have access to this document.
Click the share button.
This will show you the list of people who have access to your file. If you want to remove someone from the file to prevent them from accessing it, click the dropdown arrow icon to the right of their name and then select ‘remove’ . Click ‘save’ to confirm the decision.
That person has now been removed from your shared document.
You can also do this without opening the document. From the Drive main page, right click the document you want to edit and then select ‘share’.
Here you can perform the same step to remove people from your file.
