If you have keenly studied the history of Africa, then, you must have heard about Thomas Isidore Noel Sankara, who served as president of Burkina Faso from his coup in 1983 to his assassination in 19 87.
Sankara was a military commander, Marxist, and pan-Africanist. He was nicknamed the “Che Guevara” of Africa and was considered an icon with a high-standing impact and great values. Che Guevara was the name of a major figure in the Cuban Revolution, an anti-imperialist and leftist radical. Thomas Sankara created an indelible mark on the history and prosperity of his country for about 27 years.
