How to update the firmware on the AnyTone 878
Hi everyone, this is Cody from BridgeCom Systems. In this video, I'll guide you through updating the firmware on your AnyTone radio, specifically for the 878 and 878 PLUS models. First, check your current firmware version by turning on the radio and navigating to Menu - Settings - Device Info. If you're not on the latest version, head over to BridgeComSystems.com, access the 878 support page, and download the necessary firmware and drivers. After extracting the files, install the latest CPS software and connect your radio. Put your radio into update mode by turning it off, holding the blue button and push-to-talk button, and turning it back on. Then, open the update file on your computer and write the new firmware to your radio. Once the update is complete, verify the new firmware version on your radio. This simple process ensures your device is up-to-date with the latest features and improvements.
