First off, let's talk about her acting career. She started off as a struggling actress, working as a waitress in New York while going to auditions. But when she moved to Hollywood, her big break came when she got cast as Lorelai Gilmore in the hit show Gilmore Girls. And boy, did she slay that role!
Aside from acting, Lauren is also a talented writer. She wrote her debut novel, Someday, Someday, Maybe in 2013 which was a big hit and her latest work is Have I Told You This Already? about lessons she learned as an actress in Hollywood.
But let's talk more about her family as there are also some interesting facts to tell.
Lauren's dad, Lawrence "Larry" T. Graham was a successful businessman in the candy industry working as President of the National Confectioners Association for many years before retiring. He's been married twice, once to Lauren's mom Donna and then to his current wife Karen with whom he has 2 kids. Lauren was raised by her dad after her parents divorced when she was five.
Speaking of Donna, she was Lauren's mother and a fashion distributor before she pursued a singing career in London. Lauren was always amazed how her mother pursued her dream even though she had to leave her daughter. Donna gave birth to one more child with an unknown man and unfortunately passed away in 2006 at the age of 61.
Lauren has two half-siblings on her dad's side, Maggie and Chris.
Maggie is a college graduate and works at the American College of Cardiology. She's also married with two kids.
Chris, on the other hand, is more of a mystery. We don't know much about him, but we do know that he graduated from Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia.
On her mom's side, Lauren has a half-sister named Shade who was born and raised in London. Despite the distance, they have a great relationship and are often spotted hanging out together. Shade works at a talent agency and is a graduate of Oxford University.
Now, let's talk about Lauren's love life. She was never married but had a long-term relationship with actor Peter Krause, whom she met on the set of Parenthood where they played brother and sister. They were together for 12 years but unfortunately, they broke up in the summer of 2021.
Although Lauren doesn’t have kids, she does have a soft spot for Peter's son Roman and wants him to be a part of her life as she raised him while the couple was together.
