Our Challenge
We are embarking on a 1200 mile End to End Team Cycle Challenge across the British Isles.
Every breath we take, every mile we pedal will be to raise awareness of the rising tide of lung cancer, particularly in non smokers and to breathe life into charities who are working to provide much needed funds to prevent and treat this disease.
We are riding to raise awareness that passive smoking and exposure to air pollution are risk factors and to shine a light on levels of air pollution at the local level by monitoring air quality as we ride up the country.
We are riding to unite families, friends, social groups and communities, to honour the memory of our darling friend, Ruth Strauss who died of a rare lung cancer aged 46.
Our two targets are to recruit at least 250 people to join us for relay sections of the ride and to raise £250,000 to provide support for The Ruth Strauss Foundation, Alk + Lung Cancer UK and the Friends of the Earth Clean Air Campaign.
