The 15 best novels of the 19th century
I could have chosen 20, 50 or more, because the 19th century was – without a doubt – the golden age of the novel, when after a long evolution it reached its full literary and cultural potential. However, the premise of this report was to choose only fifteen titles by as many different authors, and we fulfilled that assumption, in order to give a brief but general overview of the most relevant aspects of the genre.
