Most degrees teach us the skills to master a brief, digest information and write at length; they encourage us to debate and reason. Some degrees even teach practical skills. Let’s not sneer at others who follow their passions and start a new chapter in their lives.
If there is fault to be found, maybe it is with the prescriptive and limiting teaching methods that have crept into some universities...?
