What are Varicose veins?
Varicose veins are swollen, twisted veins that are found under the skin, and usually occur in the legs, but can also develop in other parts of the body.
If you notice any of these symptoms, consult a doctor immediately:
• Veins are twisted and swollen, often appearing as cords in the legs
• Dark purple or blue veins
• Pain or heaviness in the legs
• Burning, throbbing, cramping, and swelling in the lower legs
• Itching around one or more veins
• Changes in skin color around varicose veins
