According to a Chinese creator who wishes to remain anonymous, Hoyoverse is aware of player discontent about the rewards but instead of doing something about it, they’re actively taking down videos of smaller creators talking about the issue on Douyin.
Well apparently, developers are probably afraid of taking down video of a big Chinese creator, because it might lead to significant backlash. So instead they change in-game name of a famous Chinese creator to "Traveler."
Also recently, it became known that the Ministry of Information Technology of China has officially addressed four IT companies that have been late in processing legal complaints from users. And in this report, Mihoyo or Hoyoverse are at the top of the list, accounting for over 60% of the total number of unresolved complaints. This is happening for the first time, and these complaints include issues with customer service, personal data protection, and more. The majority of these complaints have accumulated recently.
It's worth mentioning that some complaints come from official companies or partners, while others come from private users who overwhelm the company's legal department with their inquiries. This is likely related to dissatisfaction in China due to limited rewards in the game for the Lantern Rite Festival or Chinese New Year. Consequently, the number of complaints against developers is so high that they are unable to process them on time.
At the same time, the Chinese government is urging developers to address all inquiries as soon as possible, or else it could lead to negative consequences. Technically, developers are not breaking the law, but all these complaints create a lot of problems. After all, most of these issues could have been avoided by making rewards for players more generous.
And last, let's talk about a hidden nerf. In Genshin Impact, the developers released a new skin for Shenhe, and of course, they didn't forget to edit her chest, or rather, to make it smaller. This is clearly noticeable in this image. I understand censorship, but couldn't they at least leave alone what's already present in the game? It's the same situation as when Rosaria's chest kept getting smaller starting from patch 1.2, 1.4, 2.4.
