This video describes various types of anticoagulants that added to blood sample to prevent coagulation, these include EDTA, heparin, sodium citrate, ammonium and potassium oxalate mixture, sodium fluoride. EDTA is used for hematological analysis, heparin is used for blood gas analysis, sodium citrate is used for ESR and prothrombin time, and sodium fluoride is used for blood glucose level.
