The Simpsons UK Censorship - S20E01 "Sex, Pies and Idiot Scrapes"
Channel 4 broadcasts The Simpsons here in the UK. They seem very keen on making the show as family friendly as possible, so they often make multiple edits to episodes before they air them. Here are all the cuts Channel 4 made to The Simpsons episode "Sex, Pies and Idiot Scrapes". The original is played first followed by the Channel 4 version. This video uses the version aired 5th December, 2020 at 9:50am.
Some of these edits are done quite well but some are disappointing. I particularly dislike the edits that include the setup to a joke but remove the punchline, such as the "It's not what you think it is!" scene in this video. That said, it's pretty obvious why these scenes were removed.
I'll probably do some more of these videos. Treehouse of Horror XIX is butchered to the point that the plot doesn't make any sense at all.
