A brief history of how this 'holliday' (holy day!) came to be celebrated the way it is today in the USA. A melding of Celtic, Roman and Christian traditions with a dollop of good old fashioned scary stuff and greed thrown in because we are humans and like both of those things. And sex of course. And food.
