In this video, I will show you How to Enable and use new Split Screen Feature of Microsoft Edge.
There is a new feature called Split Window that is now available in Microsoft Edge Canary for Edge insiders. But it is not enabled by default. You can enable it manually and then browse two websites at the same time in a single tab. Here I am going to show you how to enable it first and then use it.
Split Window feature can be enabled via edge flags. So, just type edge colon slash slash flags in the address bar. It will open the Experiments page of Edge.
Now, here search for the split screen. When this Microsoft Edge Split Screen flag shows up, just set this flag to enabled.
Restart Microsoft Edge now.
When the browser restarts, you will notice a new Split Window icon in the toolbar.
Click on it and it will immediately divide the current tab into two halves.
Now, you can open two different websites in the split screen. You even get the two address bars for each half of the screen. However, for now, it is not possible to sync scrolling in the split view.
There are some options in the toolbar of the split screen that you can use.
For example, you can use the second split screen for opening the links from the left screen.
You can keep using it in this way and when you no longer need the split screen, you can simply click on the toolbar icon again and then the split screens will be restored as two separate tabs.
You can later open the split screen from the toolbar. And you can also pick an already opened tab in the split screen if you want to.
In this way, you can use this new Split Screen feature of Microsoft Edge.
