Detailed video demonstrates how we inspect and maintain golf cart batteries for 36 volt and 48 volt golf carts with lead acid deep cycle batteries.
This EZGO 2Five 48V is a four seat golf cart located in Coronado, San Diego. It has six Trojan T-875 8V batteries that are seven years old. Battery MFG date code is K7. A = Jan, B = Feb, etc. 7 = 2017 or could be 2007, but unlikely.
Because several battery cells were close to dry, we suspect the batteries are gassing out the water when on charge. Because the cells are old and damaged, they heat up and boil out the distilled water.
EZGO 2Five and EZGO RXV troubleshoot for golf cart not working after batteries were installed. The reed switch cable needs to be connected to positive battery terminal. After new batteries are installed and your golf cart does not run, check for a disconnected cable between the charge receptacle and the batteries.
The video will show step by step how to remove the six 8V golf cart batteries and replace with new flooded lead acid 8V golf cart batteries.
Note, the EZGO 2Five has a DeltaQ 48V onboard charger.
Install is very DIY friendly
