The Department of Defense failed Vanessa Guillen and they will continue to fail our brave men and women who serve our country every day if we don’t act. Therefore, I worked with House Appropriations Committee to direct the Comptroller General to conduct a review of the Department’s policy for reporting sexual assault and its effectiveness in protecting victims, as well as holding offenders accountable.
