Inside the Third Reich before and during the Second World War, thousands of people were executed inside of Germany for resisting Hitler. Many lost their heads on the guillotine, but the Nazis forced the families of those who were condemned to pay for their executions. It cost 300 Reichmarks for someone to be executed, and this was not the only fee the family had to pay.
