This is an audio test using +20db on Rode Videomic Pro and Shure VP83 lenshopper mics for DSLR video. The Shure VP83 is more sensitive and required me to setup the Canon 70D differently with the manual audio level set a few nothes lower than the Rode Videomic Pro. However, in this test I found myself preferring the sound of the Rode Videomic Pro, I also feel that the Shure VP83 seems to pick up more background noise and isn't as directional which could be a pro or con depending on preference.
