Daylight Saving Time: How to Adjust your Howard Miller Clock
In this video, we will show you how to properly adjust your Howard Miller Clock for Daylight Saving Time in the Spring, when you want to go forward an hour, and in the Fall, when you want to go back an hour.
It's simple to adjust your grandfather clock for Daylight Saving Time, simply move the minute hand counter clockwise 1 hour to "fall back" in the Fall, or simply move the minute hand clockwise 1 hour to "spring forward" in the Spring.
For mechanical clocks moving the minute hand forward you need to stop at every 1/4 hour (1/4 after the hour, 1/2 after the hour, and 3/4 after the hour) to let the melody play through and at the hour (12:00 mark) to let the melody and hour strike to play through before advancing the minute hand.
