I HAVE GREAT NEWS! Thank you for your patience everyone! My beautiful Sonola accordion is finally back from the repair shop & is now more beautiful than ever. Special thanks to Andrei of Accordion Kraft in Edmonton, Alberta who has restored conditioned it to 95% new! I gave him a list of what I wanted to be done but he went over & above it all from internal sound to external appearance. It's taking me a bit of time to re-calibrate my fingers to the instrument so I've begun with a piece that isn't overly difficult. Thankfully, having a stradella instrument to play again will give my injured left thumb a chance to heal before I do more free-bass recordings. I love the vibrant & powerful sound of the Guerrini reeds in this instrument.
