They did it!

Its seems like Microsoft has dropped plans for their extremely unpopular DRM and sharing restrictions for the XBox One. Don Mattrick, President, Interactive Entertainment Business released the official infromation here: http://news.xbox.com/2013/06/update in a note named "Your Feedback Matters -- Update on Xbox One."

Do you think the internet's loud outcry is what kickstarted the reversal in policy? Or did Sony embarass Microsoft too badly at E3? Are the changes enough to make you want to order an XBox One, or are you still not won over?

Did Microsoft really do the best they could for gamers?

No more always online requirement
The console no longer has to check in every 24 hours
All game discs will work on Xbox One as they do on Xbox 360
An Internet connection is only required when initially setting up the console
All downloaded games will function the same when online or offline
No additional restrictions on trading games or loaning discs
Region locks have been dropped
