Duramax P0128 Fix DIY - Thermostat & PPE Ported Fuel Rail Fitting - PO128
Follow along as we upgrade King Cuz' Duramax with a HSP Front Facing Thermostat Housing and a PPE Ported Fuel Rail Fitting. This HSP kit will make the engine bay much cleaner by rerouting the hoses towards the front instead of over the engine and if the thermostats ever need to be changed it will be easier to do. The PPE Fuel Rail Fitting will provide much better flow and steadier pressure when in high boost.
It was a good time to do this as the truck recently had a code P0128 come on which indicates that your engine coolant temperature is below the thermostat regulating temperature. This means that the ECM has recognized that the engine is running cooler than it's supposed to.
