USING MS WORD IN GOOGLE DOCS
Nice thing Google relatively recently implemented is kind of “Natural” editing support for Microsoft Word format in Google Docs. I mean that unlike before, now Google Drive offers full editing possibilities for external documents such as Microsoft Word and many more, with no need to convert it to the Google Docs format anymore. In this video we upload a Word doc and edit it.

And Basically we do that either from the menu on Google Drive, or a simple “drag and drop” from a computer. On the top left of Google Drove's home page we press the “New” button, the menu unfolds, and we press on the 2nd item “File Upload”. That opens the explorer, where we locate the file, double clicking on it, and it’s getting uploaded. Or drag and drop it from a PC, which is done by just opening the explorer on a computer, locating the file and just dropping it there on the drive.

EDITING WORD DOC
So the Word file. From the Drive we double clicking on it and getting it open in a new tab in the browser. On the top, next to its name you can see that the file format is MS' docx, but that doesn’t limit our editing possibilities anymore, you have all your common Google Docs tools available. You can enter something, delete it, format it and make it bold, change its font and etc. Now you can freely edit Microsoft Word like it’s a common Google Document, full support, which is incredible, since earlier you could just watch it, but to edit it you would have had to convert it to Google document format. Earlier that would have looked like this - you would have had to go to “File” on the toolbar and press “Save as google docs”, then that will create a copy in google docs format, only only now you can edit it.
