What Is a Sentence Fragment? English Writing & Grammar
Writing complex sentences with proper structuring and grammar tools—this is a sentence fragment because it does not have a complete independent clause. Unlike the run-on sentence, which has two or more clauses improperly joined or separated, the sentence fragment or incomplete sentence is lacking essential components.
