Welcome to the Hangar Flight Museum, formerly known as the Aero Space Museum of Calgary! Located just south of Calgary International Airport, this aviation museum is a treasure trove for aviation enthusiasts and history buffs alike.
About the Museum:
History: Founded in 1975 by aviation enthusiasts and WWII pilots, the museum has evolved from an earlier private collection, the Air Museum of Canada.
Current Location: The museum has been housed in a historic British Commonwealth Air Training Plan hangar since 1985.
Renovations: In 2016, extensive renovations were completed, including a new roof and HVAC system, alongside a rebranding to The Hangar Flight Museum.

Hawker Hurricane: After a seven-year restoration, this iconic aircraft made its triumphant return in 2019, showcasing the museum's commitment to preserving aviation history.
