Diorama Artist (Nakkal) Fırat Dövencioğlu - A Diorama Documentary
Turkey's most comprehensive diorama documentary "Nakkal" is on air with its eleventh episode.
In the eleventh episode of Nakkal, a Diorama Documentary, Diorama Artist Fırat Dövencioğlu is featured.
Fırat Dövencioğlu attributes the reason why he made so many building dioramas is because he experienced the Gölcük earthquake. Perhaps just one of the reasons is the fear of earthquakes.
Fırat Dövencioğlu, a graduate of Plastic Arts Painting Department, became interested in illustration and turned to comics when he decided that he did not want to be a portrait painter. He met diorama when he wanted to create three-dimensional spaces for the comic character he was working on.
Master Fırat Dövencioğlu told us that his whole purpose was to make a movie. He explained that he is continuing to work on a film project whose venues consist entirely of dioramas.
He talked about his fears, talked about his diorama work for the Museum of Innocence, and we talked about many other topics.
