A famous film performer Naveen Andrews drew his first breath in 1969 in London. He has Indian roots and that’s why he was often bullied at school for that. However, it didn’t stop him from pursuing his dream to become a worldwide known movie star. He studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and debuted on a big screen in 1991 in a movie called London Kills Me. Yet, he rose to stardom thanks to such TV projects as The English Patient, Lost and Buddha of Suburbia.

The father Stanley was a Malayali Nasrani immigrant, who worked at first as a businessman and then became an employee at the railway station. The father and son were never really close and there were always lots of conflicts and aggression between Naveen and parents. Stanley died from a heart attack.
The mother’s name was Nirmala and she was born in Indian Kerala. In the 1960s she moved with a spouse to London. She had a degree in psychology but because of her immigrant status had to work at the Post Office. Her bond with a stellar son also wasn’t a perfect one and perhaps, that’s why Andrews has a thing for older women. Nirmala passed away in the 1990s.
The celebrity has a younger brother Sunil, who studied biochemistry but is a musician. At first he had been playing in a group called The Now but later formed another band in London. The brothers are not very close because parents used to play off them against one another.
Coming closer to the actor’s personal life, he had dated several women but never married any of them. Since 1985 and up till 1991 he had been romantically involved with Geraldine Feakins, who was a teacher at his school. When they started dating, Andrews was 16 while she was 30. Once when the actor had an argument with parents, Geraldine offered him to stay at her home and that’s how their affair began. It would be also interesting to know that she was married at that time to a man named Norman. This union lasted 6 years and resulted in one child.
In 1998 the actor began seeing an American movie star Barbara Hershey. Despite the fact that they have a 21-years age gap, they have spent 11 wonderful years together.
In 2005 Andrews had a short-term break from Hershey, during which he met an actress Elena Eustache. It was a short-lived affair but it resulted in her pregnancy and birth of the celebrity’s second child.
Andrews’ first child is a son Jaisal, who was born with Feakins in 1992. He studied at the University in Manchester and currently lives in London. During holidays, he visits his father in LA.
The second son Joshua was welcomed in 2006 with Eustache. The film star is his only legal custodian and so, Joshua lives with him.
