On April 30, 2024, literature lovers around the world learned sad news: the death of Paul Auster at the age of 77, after being diagnosed with incurable cancer in September 2022.
Two months after the unfortunate event, we recovered an old report—with all its flaws—that we did a long time ago about the American auteur's cinema. Not before doing a brief review of the life and most emblematic works of someone who knew how to admire Franz Kafka, Samuel Beckett and Cervantes' 'Don Quixote' like few others. And that, furthermore, he once said: “I really can't imagine the literature of the 20th century without Borges…”
