Great weather in New York for this Engagement shoot of Sally & Husam, a super nice Muslim couple., After a Noreaster rolled through the day before. After shooting a wedding in Tampa on Saturday, our flight to New York was cancelled because of the weather in New York, and we were lucky to get the last flight out, arriving on Long Island at 1am. After the weather had forcasted 50% rain for Sunday, was pleasantly suprised to have a gorgeous day. We had came up with a plan to get the most shots of the New York Skyline in a very short amount of time, so our plan was to hope aboard a ferry at Hunters Point on the East River and sail to Governors Island and then hop back on a returning ferry to Hunters Point. The only thing that went wrong was we forgot to get off at Governors Island because Joe was shooting stills of our bride and groom so we ended up on Manhatten, which turned out to be good. It delayed us about 40 minutes, but we were able to get shots of Manhatten that we didn't plan on. This is the way to do an engagement shoot in NYC. We sailed under the Williamsburg, Manhattan, & Williiamsburg Bridges, as well as having spectacular views of the skyline. This was only the first 2 hours of a 12 hour wedding, we'll be posting the rest when done.
