How to Ban Words in Discord Server with MEE6 Bot
The MEE6 bot can help you keep your Discord server clean using its auto moderation features. One of the more useful MEE6 tools is the ability to ban words. Whenever a member uses a banned word in your server the MEE6 bot will perform a preset action.
You can set MEE6 to delete the message, warn the member, or perform both actions. The bot will require specific moderator permissions in your server. Typically these permissions are set by default when adding MEE6 to your Discord server.
When banning words you can set specific text channels and roles that you don’t want to be affected by the moderation. This will allow certain users to still use a word freely, even if it has been banned. This feature is optional, however may help when a server has private channels.
When you add a word to your ban list you can add each word individually, or separate them with a comma. Using the comma method you can create a full list before pressing enter to add them.
