2025 Yamaha Tracer still Good Value?
At the end of last year, Yamaha announced their updated versions of the Tracer 9 line-up for 2025,
Is Yamaha going too far? … Is this NEW Tracer still affordable?
What other bikes would you consider in the same class?

So, if you are like me, and looking to purchase your new bike and the Tracer is one of them, which model would you go for and why?

Are there any other brands in this category?
Of course there are, and there are so many that I cannot talk about them all in one video😊
I start digging and comparing my options, so I have a few on the list that I consider,
My first choice would be the New Ducati Multistrada V2, which this would go in comparison straight to the Base Tracer 9 version as it has similar specification and similar power,
But what if you want the electronic suspension and panniers?
Well, let’s compare the Tracer 9GT, this will go in comparison with the Multistrada V2S Travel, both have electronic suspension, panniers, quick-shifter, riding modes, but Yamaha has a few more options that Ducati only dreams of, The new Tracer 9GT comes as standard with electric adjustable windshield, Self-cancelling indicators, heated grips, centre stand, matrix led headlights, keyless feature for the ignition, fuel cap and panniers and much more, however, it comes with a price of £14.350 for the manual version, but Yamaha for this year introduced the Y-AMT, Yamaha - Automated Manual Transmission and this bumps the price by £1000… however, Ducati hasn’t got this option so let’s only compare the manual transmission.
If we are interested in the Ducati Multistrada V2S Travel, this will cost us £17.590.. Ouch… that’s £3.240 price difference.
This makes the Tracer stand out quite a bit for the competition.

Now, What’s the Tracer 9GT Plus compare to ??
Big question as Ducati Multistrada V2S Travel is the top speck for the V2 line-up… well if we are looking for the adaptive cruise control and rear radar blind spot detection, this will only be found in the New Ducati Multistrada V4S Travel and Radar or the Gran Turismo.
Before you guys jump in with the critics, I know the V4S is in a different league with its engine size performance but hear me out as I only compare the specks here and I want to see if the Tracer is still good value for money.
The Tracer 9GT Plus comes with a price tag of £17.000 here in UK, and comes ONLY, with the Y-AMT system, and is not a straight comparison as both bikes have plusses and minuses.
For those that don’t like the Automated system, unfortunately Tracer 9GT is the only option if you want a good amount of speck but with manual transmission.
The price of the Multistrada V4S Travel and Radar starts at £24.025… quite a bit, but if we speck it with the similar features the price goes up to £26.469. and this makes the V4S almost £9.000 more expensive.
Unfortunately for me, these prices are way more than i what to spend on a motorcycle, so is the Tracer still an affordable bike?
Well, absolutely, and my favourite option will be the Tracer 9GT as it has similar features to what I currently have and much more, I wish they had more colour options as I do love the RED 😊
If we leave Ducati, and choose another manufacturer to compare with the Yamaha Tracer 9 line-up, which manufacturer would you choose?
Would you say… Triumph with their Tiger 900? , Honda NT1100 ?, Suzuki with their GSXS 1000 GX? Or what about the new Kawasaki Versys 1100? Or BMW XR?
