Volvo takes the wraps off it’s first all-electric SUV- the XC40 Recharge. With a realistic range of around 200 miles and an 80 percent charge time of 40 minutes using commercial stations, the Recharge is a useful (and of course safe) SUV.
Perhaps more important is Volvo’s statement at the Los Angeles, CA, that the company is ramping up production so that half of its sales volume comes from all-electric vehicle by the year 2025 and that it’s committed to reducing its manufacturing and tailpipe emissions by 40 percent by that date.
