Yugeshni Naidoo is a second-generation boatbuilder from Durban, South Africa. Her company builds and repairs boats and pleasure crafts. As a young entrepreneur, she leads the company founded by her father into a new era, defying social prejudices against female leadership in her hometown. All vessels coming out of their hangar are individually crafted by hand to the demands of their new owners. Managing the production takes teamwork and leadership, but for Yugeshni another point is vital: the safety of her staff.
BeyondMasks tells engaging stories about passionate people with an intriguing desire for quality. They draw designs from their minds, bend materials to their will, and form structures with their hands.
