Typical Mongol order of battle & tactics. Employed caracole tactics where individual Mongol units would attack separately in waves, constantly falling into the enemy and quickly withdrawing while maintaining distance. Its purpose is to provoke enemy mistakes, exaggerate numerical superiority, or simply apply relentless pressure. Until the opposition is sufficiently weakened and demoralized, they would turn to their heavy lancers to perform the final blow.

I like how one could use Total War to kinda replicate the fluidity/flexibility of the Mongol formations that are continuously on the move but never colliding with one another thanks to their organization and iron discipline. It must've been breathtaking and terrifying to behold irl.
