The Boss ME-80 Guitar Multi Fx has both patch memory and manual modes. In patch mode you can set up a complete multi fx sound and save it to a foot switch for instant recall. In manual mode the 8 pedals work like individual pedal stomp boxes for easy use. One cool trick shown in the video is to set up the ME80 so that when you switch from memory to manual modes, the individual components of the patch are then available to be turned on or off by the 8 pedals. This is work in tandem with the contrl (CTRL) pedal in patch mode to offer great flexibility to turn effects on and off in a live situation.
