Born in 1900 on the island of Grenada, Mr. H managed to move north, to New York. Shortly thereafter, he made his way to Paris. I'd rather not delve into all the rumors of his many affairs, but I've included only a few photos of his supposed paramours in this clip. He was a fine ballad singer, and an even better pianist! The clip I'm including is "Sand in My Shoes," a tribute to one of the regions he loved most; Havana, Cuba.

His romantic adventures were legion! Movie stars, authors, composers of the day were all at his beck and call! His adventures with a member of the Royal family still make jaws drop! Enough said.
