I love the original Playstation and I just wanted to see for myself what software vs hardware rendering looked like in a Playstation 1 emulator. I chose Ridge Racer Revolution for this quick comparison. Ridge Racer Revolution was as far as I know the only Ridge Racer game on the PS1 to support the Playstation Link cable. Two PS1s, two TVs, and two games (one if you're slick) for 2 player full screen fun.

Retroarch was used to load the two "cores."

Mednafen (Beetle PSX vs Beetle PSX HW)

Software (left): mednafen_psx_libretro.dll w/ interger scaling.
Hardware (right): mednafen_psx_hw_libretro.dll w/ OpenGL and 16x internal resolution.

Download Retroarch and then put these two dll files into your cores folder. Get all the latest cores here: http://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/...
