In spring 2019, Dr. Jen Kitson's with her Urban Geography students at Rowan University planned and created an original temporary mural sharing their experiences exploring public art and public spaces. The students collaborated to obtain canvas and painting supplies and also worked to make the project open to the wider campus community. The day long event included painting the mural and activating the basketball courts where the students invited those passing by to join in on the fun.
