Week THREE! Start your year with these simple art prompts to kickstart your creative habit in 2024. You can practice your fundamentals, or if you're a beginner, these are designed to get started with art from scratch.
Use # artstartxxiv (without the space) to connect with others doing the prompts on Instagram or threads. You can also chat with me directly during the live sessions🐻

Tips for winning the challenge:
-Don't spend too much time on the first prompts! Here we're always looking for mood first so don't get stuck in details.
-Use a brush that has lots of control. You can keep the look consistent if you can vary the size with just pressure alone. The third week is painting focused so make sure your opacity is high to see if your colour choices work or not.
-Do the prompts in any order you want! If one seems tricky today, you may have a better idea for it tomorrow.
-There's an off day for a reason. Rest is just as important as practice. Use rest days well. Live your life, and have new experiences to make art about the following week.
-I'll share tips on the live sessions and on my IG and threads to help you through every week. Don't be shy to ask questions.

Not a requirement for this challenge but a request for running this for everybody for free: I can't be everywhere at once so it would mean a lot to me if you could be supportive of other artists joining the challenge. Especially for new artists just starting out, the first steps are where community support matters the most, so please be kind and understand that starting something like this takes a lot of bravery, especially for beginners.

Also please share the challenge so we can get as many people on board as possible =)
