Johnny Depp wins defamation case against Amber Heard

Johnny Depp said he had been “given his life back” on Wednesday after he was awarded more than $10 million in damages in his blockbuster US defamation case against Amber Heard, his ex-wife.
The verdict marked a vindication for the Hollywood star, who two years ago lost a libel trial in London over an article which labelled him a "wife beater".
In court, Heard looked shocked and kept her eyes down as the lengthy verdict was read. She hugged her lawyer and left the court wiping away tears.
A spokeswoman for Heard told the New York Times the actress plans to appeal the decision.
