Throughout 10-5-24, Orange County, CA Urban Search and Rescue FEMA task force, alongside others, performed searches throughout Buncombe County, NC. This area is one of the hardest hit within the region with over 72 dead with many more missing. People, houses, vehicles, trees, rocks, and everything else in-between was swept down stream and into the town of Swannanoa, NC. Response teams, both career and volunteer, have inundated the area to assist.
