Make A Ceiling Fan Smart, Part 4
So you've got a ceiling fan plus a Switchbot Meter and Bot, but the app won't let you create rules to automate this
Fortunately Home Assistant has integrations for Switchbot devices
Now if the computer you're running this on has Bluetooth then chances are Home Assistant is already Bluetooth aware
If not you're going to need a Bluetooth adapter like this one which worked on my Intel NUC

Unfortunately, the internal one just caused problems so I needed to find another one
Once you add a Bluetooth adapter, Home Assistant should detect it and prompt you to setup Bluetooth
Given time, it should then detect the Switchbot Meter, and suggest you add the integration for it
Use the Switchbot app to turn the switch on and off and the integration for the Bot should show up in Home Assistant as well
Now you can automate your ceiling fan
