Follow the below steps to configure the virtual network manage in the Hyper V
To configure virtual networks:
1. Go to any computer that you have previously set up to remotely manage Hyper-V Server.
2. Open the Hyper-V Manager MMC snap-in.
3. From the Actions menu, click Connect to Server, select Another Computer, and then enter the name or IP address of the server that you want to connect to.
4. In the Actions menu, click Virtual Network Manager.
5. Under Create virtual network, select External, and then click Add.
6. Type a name for the new virtual network (such as Corpnet), and then click OK.
The above configuration will show you how to create and configure virtual switch in hyper v.
External :
External virtual networks are used where you want to allow communications between
Virtual machine to virtual machine on the same physical server
Virtual machine to parent partition (and visa-versa)
Virtual machine to externally located servers (and visa-versa)
(Optional) Parent partition to externally located servers (and visa-versa)
Internal :
Internal virtual networks are used where you want to allow communications between
Virtual machine to virtual machine on the same physical server
Virtual machine to parent partition (and visa-versa)
Private :
Private virtual networks are used where you want to allow communications between
Virtual machine to virtual machine on the same physical server
