Ironhead Squat Skalvian Explorator: Model and Build Review
The Ironhead Squats are renowned prospectors of the dangerous Ash Wastes, venturing into this hostile realm in search of chem-deposits and abandoned canisters of valuable liquids. Such adventures are hazardous to say the least, and the Skalvian Prospector is a welcome addition to forays into the gloomy murk of Necromunda's plains. Robustly built and equipped with powerful weapons, the Skalvian also mounts a powerful manipulator claw to aid in the recovery of cargo, and when chem-treasures are found, a storage complex to carry these precious fluids and gases.
Please join me in this video for a build and background review of the Skalvian Explorator, a full resin kit from Forge World and centrepiece model for the Ironhead Squat miniature range. Here I will showcase the model's features and details, discuss the build process and my assembly experiences as well as speculating on real-world design influences and and size comparisons against other models from the Warhammer 40,000 universe.
