Celebrate Letterer Appreciation Day with Stan Sakai
In 2017, September 1 was designated as “Letterer Appreciation Day” because it marked the anniversary of legendary comic book letterer Gaspar Saladino's birth. This year, KPBS arts reporter Beth Accomando wants to share her appreciation for Eisner award-winning letterer Stan Sakai, who letters Sergio Aragones' "Groo" as well as his own comic, "Usagi Yojimbo."
