Composed by the Austrian composer, organist and choirmaster Franz Gruber in 1818. The original German lyrics - "Stille Nacht" - are by Joseph Mohr, but Sissel & Odd sing the Norwegian lyrics (not a translation) by Bernhard Severin Ingemann, the title meaning "Merry Christmas". Live at the Christmas concert in Oslo Spektrum, Oslo, Norway, Nov. 28, 2009. With the symphony orchestra Trondheimsolistene and a band consisting of Daniel Sandén-Warg on Hardanger fiddle ("hardingfele"), and Rune Arnesen, Gjermund Silset, Per Kolstad, and Skjalg Raaen.
