Oceanit congratulates the Climate Change Toolkit Student Ambassadors for completing the 6-month program focused on coastal erosion awareness and hands-on environmental assessment for future beach restoration at Mantokuji Bay. The five graduates, Peyton Tokishi, Noah Munz, Sam Dameg, Dyther Jay Bugtong, and Llyw MacMillian, concluded the program in May 2024 with a collaborative presentation highlighting their contributions and findings, attended by 30 participants.
The Climate Change Toolkit Program, a collaboration project aimed at protecting the cultural heritage site, the Paia Mantokuji Temple in Maui, from climate-driven coastal erosion, equipped students with scientific knowledge, practical skills, and cultural insights. Led by Oceanit's experts and Mantokuji board members, the program aimed to create a "climate change toolkit" addressing environmental challenges, including those affecting Mantokuji and similar sites.
