Classification Algorithm, also known as logistic regression, is a supervised learning algorithm. Unlike linear regression, which is used to predict continuous values, logistic regression is used to predict a binary outcome.
Classification Algorithm works by estimating the probability of the outcome based on the input variables. Let's understand this using an example.
Imagine you are a marketing manager at a company, and you want to predict which customers are most likely to churn. You have customer data, including their age, income, and number of purchases.
To predict which customers are most likely to churn, you analyze the data and discover that older customers with a higher income are less likely to churn. On the other hand, younger customers with a lower income are more likely to churn.
