The process of banding a buckling is pretty common, this is also known as Wethering a buckling. This is not something you need to have a Vet do. If you are keeping and breeding goats you are going to want to learn to do this yourself. You want to Wether a buckling before it's mature. People do this when raising goats for meat. Castrating goats with the banding method is very simple and much cleaner then castrating a goat surgically in our opinion.
