Acon Digital updates Extract:Dialogue to v1.5 with Phase Correction

Acon Digital has updated their dialogue noise suppression plug-in, Extract:Dialogue, to version 1.5. The plug-in separates dialogue from common types of background noise such as wind, rustle, traffic, hum, clicks and pops.

The significant improvements in audio quality is the main focus of this release. While the earlier versions of Extract:Dialogue reduced noise only by attenuating frequency components, version 1.5 uses a novel artificial intelligence model that can correct phase distortions and destructive interference between the dialogue and the noise signal. This improves the naturalness of the voice, especially when dealing with noise that overlaps with the dialogue in the frequency spectrum. Extract:Dialogue 1.5 is also significantly faster than earlier versions with around 30% speed-up compared to version 1.2.
