Dust a Bad Background Away
Remove a background with a tool to fix dust? Who'd a thunk it? This is a trick from yesteryear that makes for fast and easy gradient and background suppression, and it's still useful in many circumstances today, especially if you prefer to do a lot of your astro image editing in nondestructive layer-based image editors.
